It’s Wednesday (Wednesday, Wednesday, gotta tell you what I ate on Wednesday)!
Today, I started my day at 8:00 am! I woke up, chugged 24oz of water, made myself a cup of coffee, and began getting ready for the morning. I had my first EVER deep-tissue massage this morning! More about that later, on to BREAKFAST!
|Oats & Berries||
- 1/2 cup Quaker Quick Oats
- 1 cup Almond Milk
- 2 tbsp Organic Chia Seeds
- 1 tbsp Organic ground flax seed
- 1/4 cup frozen blackberries
- 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
- Combine the oats, milk, chia seeds, and flax seeds. Microwave for 1 minute and stir. Return to microwave for 30 sec – 1 min. Top with frozen fruit and stir it up. The berries will meld in to the oatmeal and envelop EVERY bite with berry goodness.
This is my go-to breakfast. I prepare it on a regular basis. I switch up toppings, but the base of my oatmeal is VERY standard for my Savvy Sassy Self.
Following breakfast, I headed to the gym for a massage and a workout. More on that tomorrow. Stay posted.
When I got back from the gym, I made myself a quick and delicious Vega protein blend (4 oz Orange Juice, 4 oz water, 1 package of Vega Energizing Smoothie protein). This tided me over to my late lunch.
I headed to one of the food places on campus for lunch. I got a “sandwich” but I don’t think that I can really call it that because I order so many vegetables that I have to eat it with a knife and a fork. I order the pita bread, topped with grilled chicken, 1/4 avocado, cucumber, bell peppers, tomatoes, red onion, broccoli slaw, and carrots. It’s absolutely delicious, and overflowing with color. The man behind the counter informed me that this was the first he ever had to charge somebody for extra vegetables, but I ordered so many that he had no choice. I take this as a compliment.
SNACK (Late Afternoon Pick-Me-Up)
This afternoon, I headed to Starbucks. My to-do list is literally a mile long. Over the past few hours, I have made a DINT, but there is still so much to do. Luckily Starbucks provides me with the perfect atmosphere to be productive. I had this fruit and yogurt as a snack. YUM! I also had my typical order of Iced Coffee.
I usually get Iced Coffee with Soy Milk + Sugar Free Caramel. But today, I mixed it up with syrup! The order?
Venti Iced Coffee with Soy Milk + Sugar Free Mocha Syrup.
I will get my free refill soon–probably going to try another new sugar free syrup! Feeling gutsy!
There is no place I would rather sit and be productive than Starbucks. I can’t complain about calling this my “office” several days a week.
This evening, I have several errands to run as I am moving into my new apartment this week! So much to get done (on top of the work and blogging to-do list). I GOT THIS! Since I had a late lunch and a snack, I will probably have a light dinner. I am thinking Chobani + nuts? This is still up in the air, so my WIAW is missing one meal. I hope that the world will not end because of this. Hahahaha!
Well, I suppose you are caught up on my day, my food, and my LIFE! Tomorrow? I will update you on my half-marathon training progress. I am finally getting over my sickness/allergies and my summer job has ended! I am getting back on my grind and that started today! I can’t wait to share.
