{Better Butt Workout} The “I Want My Booty Back” Circuit

by Kacie Phillips on August 10, 2012

Hi!  What a beautiful day.  I am truly counting my blessings this morning.  I woke up (naturally) before 7am, so I decided to just get up and get the day started! Why not? ;)  I had thought about doing a early run this morning, but after my kick-butt workout last night, I needed to take it EASY this morning!

I am in such a good mood!  Why, you ask?!  Several reasons.

  1. I am still on a bit of FITNESS HIGH from last night’s KILLER glute workout!
  2. I am FINALLY getting back into the swing of exercise, coming off of bad allergies and sickness.
  3. I am moving into my NEW apartment today, PERMANENTLY!
  4. My mom is coming into town in a few hours to spend the weekend with me, and prep my apartment!
  5. The farmer’s market is in the morning! :)
  6. God is so very good!

Is that enough reasons to be cheery?! As if the fact that it is Friday isn’t enough, right?! ;)

Let’s talk about last night.  I spent all of yesterday packing/catching up on work and emails.  Last night, it was time to KILL it in the gym.  I was tired, but I knew it needed to be done.

THREE CHEERS FOR A…
BETTER BUTT!

Confession: I used to have a butt.  Seriously, a ROUND backside.  Back in my high school days, I was known for this.  Now? It’s gone.  I have literally ran it off.  All of my running/exercising and toning/strength training has flattened my booty to nonexistence.  This?  THIS is not okay.  I want my booty back!

So, what am I going to do about it?  WORK IT!  Squats. Lunges. Repeat.

Are you looking for an INTENSE and glute-enhancing workout? Seriously, give this a try.  When I finally finished this routine, I could not walk.  Yes, I gauge my workouts by the fact that I exit the gym with jello legs and look like a crazy person. Judge me, maybe? ;)  The BEST part is walking up and down stairs.  I hug the railing for dear life!!!!

I spent about 15 minutes in the sauna post-workout and THIS made all the difference for my muscles this morning.  Luckily, I didn’t wake up with jello legs.  I might tomorrow though.  But, I am okay with that!

I plan to get an outdoor run in tonight or tomorrow, time-permitting.  It’s time to finish up on some work.  Pack a bit more, and await the arrival of my mom.  It’s going to be a great weekend–full of unpacking, organizing, girl chat, and shopping.  I cannot complain.  I’m hoping to get my mom out for an early morning or late-night LONG walk around my beautiful Texas Tech campus. :)

Enjoy your Friday! Get out there and KILL your workouts, work your booties, and be awesome!

Hahaha! When I tell people that I have literally “ran my butt off,” they think I am speaking figuratively! When in reality?! I MEAN LITERALLY! :) Let me know what you think!

Hi! Thanks for sharing this. How many days per week for this? I can’t imagine more than one :)

    • Kacie Phillips

Hi Angela! This is only once a week. I couldn’t do an intense leg day much more than that. ;)
