My Nuttzo HAPPY Place (and a Pro Compression Socks giveaway)

by Kacie Phillips on February 15, 2013

Busy, busy, busy!

But it’s about time I check in and say HOWDY (from my HAPPY place of course)!

Oh, and a giveaway… keep reading y’all.

Yes, even in my crazy schedule… I make time for myself.

Gym time is MY TIME and I cherish it.  I look forward to it ALL day and I love, love, love it.  I am VERY busy and people who really know would probably describe me as INSANE for the amount of things I do.

But, my tea knows best when it comes to making things happen amidst the chaos.

I find STRENGTH is success.  Happiness in triumph.  And badassery in exercise.

In addition, I have had the honor and privilege of trying out some pretty fantastic products in the past few weeks!

I’ve been chatting all about Nuttzo and Pro Compression socks with many of you over on Instagram and Twitter, but it’s time to bring this conversation to the blog!

This stuff is happying my soul.

I am seriously NUTTZO for Nuttzo.  I have been spreading this nut and seed butter on my toast for the past two weeks.  Top with some sliced banana and you’re in HEAVEN.

Let’s talk about delicious.

This unique seed butter is made of 100% Organic Ingredients: Peanuts, Cashews, Almonds, Brazilian Nuts, Sunflower Seeds, Flax Seeds, Hazelnuts, and Sea Salt.

For some delicious nut-buttery recipes, click here.  To find out more about this nut butter awesomeness, click here.

Next up? MY COMPRESSION SOCKS OF AMAZINGNESS.

I’ve decided to never take these off.

That’s perfectly acceptable right?

They have transformed my workouts, particularly my runs.

After a stress fracture last fall, I have been down and out with running.  These compression socks have allowed me to EASE my way back to into something that was once such an integral part of my life.

With these socks, I have no shin splints OR calve cramps.  The pain is literally GONE both during my runs and in the recovery stages.

I am weight-training 80% and doing cardio 20%, but the fact that I now have the chance to run again? Priceless.

I’ll be completely honest with you: they are NOT cheap.  But when it comes to quality products that IMPROVE your workouts (performance, health, etc.), it is WORTH IT.  Make the investment in YOURSELF, your abilities, and your recovery!

Fact.

Side Affects: Giddy, obnoxious, overly-happy, I-just-killed-my-workout-and-I-have-no-pain-I-can-take-over-the-world-one-day-at-a-time-feeling. See below.

View more about these amazing socks and what they can do for you here.

And in the spirt of SPREADING THE LOVE, I want to offer one of my FABULOUS readers a pair of their VERY OWN!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

The contest runs from 12:00 am on February 16 – 12:00 am on February 23.

Winner chose at random.

Disclaimer: While I received these products free-of-charge, all opinions are now and will always be my own.

I recently bought new shoes. Two new pairs actually. One for running and one strictly for crossfit. I used to buy my gym shoes from whatever was cheapest at TJ Maxx. Not anymore and my feet feel so amazing!

    • http://www.savvysassyme.com/ Kacie Phillips

Katy- That was the BEST move I ever made. Investing in TWO pairs of gym shoes for different purposes. ;-)

I’d love to try those socks! kinda of remind me of the knee high gym socks I wore back in the olden days….I didn’t care for gym class but I did love those socks! And I’m sure these are 1,000 times better! I try to “invest” in my health by buying the healthiest food I can afford but mostly by doing things that don’t really cost a lot…like walking everywhere when I can, taking the stairs, etc. They way I look at it: you either invest the time and effort (and money too) now or you’re forced to pay later in medical treatments!

    • http://www.savvysassyme.com/ Kacie Phillips

That is so true, Laura! Spend a little bit now.. instead of a bajillion later!

  • http://twitter.com/free2bimperfect Melissa

Okay, I could use these socks. I run using my calves more than anything else (so said the person who evaluated me during a gait analysis), so these would come in handy in making my runs more effective.

And the nut butter – my goodness, it sounds like heaven in a jar!

  • http://twitter.com/free2bimperfect Melissa

And to prove I’m an idiot… just now seeing the question to reply to ;) I invest in my healthy by… running, sleeping a lot, drinking water, planing healthy meals, exercising as often as I can, allowing for rest, being positive, and CHOOSING HAPPY! :)

    • http://www.savvysassyme.com/ Kacie Phillips

I need to learn from you on two of those: SLEEPING A LOT and allowing time for rest!! you go girl!

  • Emily Nickles

I invest in my health daily. running. eating good foods, etc.

I “deposit” into my fitness “bank account” every time I go for a run or simply choose the healthier option to eat.

  • http://twitter.com/ReadyTechRun Lauren S.

I have been wanting to try compression socks for a while because the calf sleeves don’t fit me well. Have you tried any other brand? I try to invest wisely by be picky on the items I buy/try!

    • http://www.savvysassyme.com/ Kacie Phillips

Actually yes. I also have a pair of Reebok compression socks ($18.. I got them on sale for $12). They serve the same purpose. BUT, I will be honest… I was very skeptical with buying compression socks. They are just so expensive. BUT, you pay for quality. It’s definitely an “investment.”
